Music Clubs

Music is an important part of life at Richmond.  In addition to their usual music lessons in class, there are plenty of other opportunities for children to get involved in performing.  Several members of staff volunteer their time during lunchtimes to provide music lessons free of charge.

Each Friday afternoon a music teacher comes into Richmond to teach children instruments such as clarinet, flute and yukelele.

Mrs Diamond teaches guitar to children in years 5 and 6 once a week.

Mrs Quinn teaches recorders for children in year 4 and Baritone and Cornet for years 4 and 5.

Miss Starbuck has for the last two years organised a choir of 30 children to perform in the ‘Young Voices’ concert at the LG Arena in Birmingham.  Both years have been extremely successful and thoroughly enjoyed by staff and children alike.

Children regularly take part in Christmas Concerts singing for the local community.
