Sports Committee

Childen are nominated to be on the Sports Committee each academic year.  This is a very important position for children to hold.  The Sports Committee meet toghether at lunchtimes once a month to discuss sporting opportunities that have taken place during the previous month and also to plan for new opportunities for the month ahead, evaluating and monitoring their successes.  They will be asked to express their opinions and views on how sport at Richmond is running and will provide an important link between the children and the school leadership team.  In addition to this, your child will take part in a range of new sports that they may be already established in, or that are completely new.  An example of this was when the committee took part in a golf taster session with a coach from Hinckley Golf Club.

So far this year the children have met Wayne Lakin — British Commonwealth Judo Champion and Dani King –Olympic and World Cycling Champion.
