Parents Teachers Association (PTA)

Are you new to the area and want to make friends?

Is this your first child in school and you would like to meet other parents?

Do you want to get involved with helping your children?

Having a PTA is good for your children, the school and for parents.

We all want our children to have a good education and the PTA aims to help with this by providing additional items that cannot be afforded within the normal school budget.

In its time the PTA has raised thousands of pounds, which have been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance the childrens’ education and facilities at the school in general. Past acquisitions include the adventure playground, computers, benches, art equipment and book bags (each year).

As well as raising funds we aim to organise events that can enrich the life of the school. Previous events include Party in the Playground, Christmas Fayre, Richmond’s Got Talent, fashion shows and school discos.

Working with the PTA can be good fun and be a great opportunity to get to know other parents. Any parent, teacher or friend can get involved even if you only have a small amount of time available. You can decide whether you want to get involved on the PTA committee, organise a one-off event or put your name donw to be an occasional helper on the day of an event.

The more people that are involved the more events we can organise. We currently need lots more parents to join in so that we can run a wider variety of events. If you think you might be interested then please contact the office, or Rebecca Manning (Nurture Group) at school. We look forward to hearing from you!
